Peer Training

"Peer training is like' this is something I learned and it's really cool, and I know you want to learn this too- so I'm teaching it to you" Veridiana, 21 years old

The Youth Channel's Peer Training model allows youth who have shown passion and dedication in making media to become trainers themselves to share their media skills, knowledge, and passions to other young people.

The Youth Channel's Peer Training Philosophy is that leaning should be fun, creative, and challenging, as well as relevant to the experiences of their students/peers.

Young people teaching other young people how to tell their own stories, guides the work of the Youth Channel.

Peer training is non-traditional learning and consists of hands on training and interactive sessions. There is no one right way to learn and there is no one way to teach. Together peer trainers and students learn together using their various styles.

Do you enjoy teaching others and sharing information, live in NYC and are between the ages of 17-23?
